On December 28th, the China-aided project of Central Activity Center for Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union, which is undertaken by Hubei Industrial Construction Group Co, LDT(HICC), officially started.
The alternate member of Lao Central Committee and Secretary-General of Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union, H.E Alounsai SOUNNALATH, the first lady of The Lao PeoPle's Democratic Republic, Mrs. Khammeung Volachith, deputy of Laos-China cooperation committee, Mr. Khenthong SISOUVONG, Chinese Eco-counselor, Mr. Zhao Wenyu, HICC Project Leader of this construction project, Mr. Zhang Yang, Executive Vice President of Hunan Chamber of Commerce in Laos, Mr. Yang Zhihua and representatives of some Chinese-funded institutions attended the groundbreaking ceremony. Directors General of International relation-cooperation Department of Lao Youth Union, Mr. Somkiao KINGSAD presided over the groundbreaking ceremony.
On behalf of the youth of all ethnic groups in Laos, H.E Alounsai SOUNNALATH first expressed her gratitude and gratitude to the Government of the People's Republic of China for its many free aid projects for the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
He said that the successful commencement of the China-aided project of Central Activity Center for Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union will unite the youth of all ethnic groups in China and Laos by providing a good platform for them to cultivate noble consciousness and carry out beneficial activities, and it will continue to witness the everlasting friendship between China and Laos.
Mr. Zhao Wenyu warmly congratulated the successful foundation laying of the project and expressed sincere gratitude to the Lao Youth Union Central Committee and the relevant departments of Laos for their great attention and valuable support to the project.
He pointed out that the top leaders of China and Laos attach great importance to cooperation in the field of youth, and actively promote the youth of the two countries to communicate, cooperate and seek common development. The construction of the Central Activity Center of the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union will be another concrete achievement in expanding the youth cooperation between the two countries. China is willing to build a base for exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and Lao youth on the platform of the Central Activity Center, to convey the friendship between China and Laos, and to promote the building of the China-Laos Community of Shared Destiny.

He said that, as a symbol of friendly exchanges between the Chinese and Lao peoples, this project is of great significance. Under the guidance of the Economic and Commercial Counselor's Office of the Chinese Embassy in Laos and the Agency for International Economic Cooperation, HICC will adhere to its enterprise style of "pragmatic and promising" and carry forward its enterprise spirit of " loyalty and dedication, tackling challenges and making progress" to strengthen project management, strictly control the project quality, construction safety, and project schedule, and build the Central Activity Center of the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union into a quality project and to hand in a satisfactory answer for the two countries.
In the early stage, the management personnel hold project preparation meetings regularly and irregularly, implement the requirements of the Ministry of Commerce and the Company, and make overall plans for the project advancement to ensure that the project starts on schedule. Ling Zhen, deputy general manager of Hubei International Economic and Technical Cooperation Co., Ltd, led a team to the project site in September 2020, overcome the difficulties such as epidemic situation and high temperature, and they promote the temporary construction of the project and the preparatory work before commencement in an orderly manner.
After the ceremony, the person in charge of the project accompanied the distinguished guests and personnel of both countries to inspect the general situation of the temporary facilities of the project.
